      <image:title>About - And now, a bit about me.</image:title>
<image:caption>I’m a native New Yorker who now calls the West home. I’ve sold, packed, and moved my stuff more times than I can count and am familiar with what it means to be a newcomer. Lately, my sense of “being” is closely tied to “doing.” In New York, I am happy to hustle from one place to the next, j-walk, and people watch. But in Oregon, it’s all about climbing, biking, and skiing. As a result, I am finding that defining “home” is a slippery task. Stay tuned.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Writing - When I say “home,” you think?</image:title>
<image:caption>Homing Instincts, my first essay collection, was a 2018 Oregon Book Awards finalist and is available on Amazon. It’s about the many ways we define “home.” I grapple with that idea by reflecting on my adventures as a rock climber, budding beekeeper, traveler, wife, and mother—all while trying to make sense of my old life in New York City and my new one in Oregon. To get an idea of what I mean, you can check out: The Newcomers (Oregon Humanities Magazine) Home at the Heart (Colorado Review)</image:caption>
